Make your fierce Viking warrior outfit stand out in your next LARP or medieval fair with our spectacle helmet. It is a well-designed functional helmet, with a butted chainmail avantail (10 mm rings of 16 gauge (1.6mm) mild steel wire).
This helmet is handmade from 16 gauge (1.3mm) mild steel with a polished finish. The height is about 25.5 cm (without camail), the inner depth from front to back at eye level measures about 24.4 cm, the inner width at ear level is about 21.4 cm and the eye slits are about 9.8 cm long (diagonally), and about 4.7 cm wide.
This helmet has an inner circumference of 68 cm (before leather liner attachment) and will fit most head circumferences from about 58 cm to 61 cm, depending on the shape of the wearer's head. If you desire to wear an additional padded cap, then measure your head circumference while wearing it. (The adjustable genuine leather line already attached inside the helmet is often enough for most adult male heads).
Note: This product is carefully coated with a layer of oil when packaged that acts as a temporary (protective) layer against corrosion (rust), which can easily be wiped off using any oil remover or even a dry cloth.
