The black warrior gambeson is a padded long-sleeved coat that covers the upper part of the body from the neck to the hips on the front and back. It can be worn individually or as padding under a chain mail or armour. The gambeson is worn like a jacket and closed on the front with five leather straps and brass buckles so you can adjust the fit.
